Japaneese songs (II)

Hi, again from Spain!

After the last post, here you have the second song from Laura, and her introduction about it:

The original song is performed by Rikki, and its name is Suteki Da Ne. It's part of the OST from Final Fantasy X, a videogame launched for Play Station 2 by Squaresoft in 2001.

It narrates us the story of Tidus, a young and talented Blitzball player, a trending sport that's like subaquatic football. While he's playing a match, a tsunami washes over the city and Tidus is swallowed by it and thrown to an unknown world: Despite he's still in his planet, Spira, he finds out he's travelled 1000 years in the future. Here, technological progress has been stopped, and people live easy lives withouth machines, because a new god, called Yevon, has banned their use.

Tidus discovers that, as a kind of punishment for having used machines before, there is a plague called Sihn, which tries to destroy the world. To fight it, there are the Summoners, who travel all over the world finding Eons (very old spirits) that will allow them to defeat Sihn. This is how Tidus meets Yuna, a determined Summoner his age, and joins her Guardians Body, in order to protect her in her pilgrimage until she can face the plague.

Japaneese songs (I)

どうも、こんにちは、友人たち (hello, friends)

We came today with a special gift for you, our student Laura is a great singer, and keen on Japaneese series, manga and anime, here you can enjoy a song performed by her. And this is the text she has prepared for it:
This song belongs to the OST of the series NANA, by Ai Yazawa. The original version is performed by Anna Tsuchiya.
NANA tells the story of two girls who meet in a train on their way to Tokio and, united by the coincidence of sharing the same name, Nana, and being both 20, they end up living together in an apartment. Nana Komatsu is a dreamy, absent-minded and rather gullible girl, who comes to Tokio on the chase of her university boyfriend, while Nana Oosaki is searching for the fame as a punk singer she couldn't get in her former village, and also for her lost love, the ex-guitarist from her band, Ren Honjo.
This is a Shojo manga and anime, worldwide known, that shows serious sitations, with a plot in which every decision that the characters make brings out consequences that cannot be undone, and which they'll have to learn to live with and keep going on. This deserved the award of Best Manga Published in Spain, but regretfully, the series was left unfinished when the artist announced her retreat from the mangaka world about two years ago. Even so, there are fans who are still waiting for her return in order to know the end of this very moving story.

Wolf´s rain

Hello, we show you here the artwork from our student Alicia. She made the picture and wanted to add the following information: The comic-story is about a tribe of ancient magic wolves that now are living among people, but they have the "magic" power to disguise themselves as humans. The comic shows us the adventures of those wolves in a semi-magic world, while they are looking for a magic place for them, called "Rakuen" (the paradise of their ancient world). Hope you like it!!
